Job Description:

A Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) is responsible for managing product quality from the customer’s perspective, acting as the primary technical interface between the customer and internal teams to ensure customer quality requirements are met, issues are resolved quickly, and long-term quality improvements are implemented.

The CQE focuses on customer complaints, quality incidents, audits, and continuous improvement, translating customer expectations into actionable internal quality and engineering activities.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customer Quality Interface
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality issues
• Communicate investigation status, root cause, and corrective actions clearly to customers
• Support customer meetings, reviews, and audits related to quality topics

2. Customer Complaint & Claim Handling
• Lead customer complaints, RTV, and quality claims
• Drive structured problem-solving activities
• Ensure timely containment, corrective, and preventive actions

3. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
• Perform and coordinate root cause analysis across manufacturing, process, and engineering teams
• Validate effectiveness of corrective actions
• Prevent recurrence through system or process improvement

4. Quality Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor customer quality KPIs such as:
• Customer complaints
• Yield impact
• Defect trends
• Claim frequency
• Prepare regular quality reports and dashboards for customers and management


5. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Work closely with:
o Manufacturing
o Process Engineering
o QA / IPQA
o Supply Chain
• Drive alignment between customer expectations and internal execution

6. Audit & Compliance Support
• Support customer audits and quality system reviews
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements and standards
• Follow up on audit findings and closure actions

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or equivalent

• 2 years experience above in a QA role, Data Analyst or similar function is preferred

• Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply

What you will do:

As Customer Excellence & Quality manager, you will be assigned directly to one or more major customers/ dealers to ensure their requirements are fully understood and translated to JCI’s design and operations processes.

This role will drive communication and action working directly with customer focal points for quality, account executives, PBU Quality leaders and other functional experts and leaders such as R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales and Service.

This role includes establishing critical customer quality metrics for assigned key accounts while coordinating with the Customer Excellence & Quality Leader, orchestrating escalation resolution, and advocating for customers to ensure JCI is the best supplier. This person will be responsible to the assigned customers/account teams to drive improvement in key customer metrics by identifying issues/opportunities, initiating resolution/improvement plans and driving/tracking actions by engaging appropriate functional management and business units to ensure full support.

The scope of this role can be global/regional and will likely involve multiple PBUs.

How you will do it:

• Work with the Customer Excellence & GlobalQuality Senior Director and other Customer Excellence & Quality Managers tobuild and manage the processes to drive improved customer experience.  This includes the adherence to global processes, tools and communications mechanisms to ensure timely and accurate visibility of opportunities and issues driving to quick action and results.
• Track and proactively share key customer insights and feedback to ensure product design and process improvements for a better customer experience. Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to create feedback cycles, and to inform and enact these improvements
• Oversee the communication to the customer and resolve escalations when non-conformances are found at the customer in a timely and cost-efficient manner
• Develop and implement customer quality scorecard / KPIs to drive performance baselining and improvement on an ongoing basis
• Actively engage with your leadership and thebroader organization to support a customer-focused culture
• Account executive relationship management –Responsible for weekly updates to key partners across the business.  Must create and communicate progress in a way that builds confidence and demonstrates continued progress towards a world-class Quality organization
• Manage key partner relationships to ensure alignment across the enterprise via appropriate planning, execution, visibility, tracking, and governance
• Responsible for sharing Customer Quality and PMO best practices. Drive the use of best practices and apply lessons learned

You will be responsible for assisting with the onboarding of Nursing Home residents and ensuring that they continue to receive the quality of care.

Customer Journey Experience

• Act as the main liaison and single point of contact (Care Concierge) for next-of-kin of our nursing home residents.
• Engage caregivers and residents at the pre-admission stage to address any concerns or anxieties and to better understand the specific needs of the resident.
• Conduct pre-admission counselling sessions to help caregivers understand the fees, services provided, philosophy of care, living conditions and expectations of residents and next of kin.
• Receive the resident on the day of admission, conduct orientation and ensure that the resident settles in well to the new environment.
• Actively engage residents and caregivers throughout the period of stay and address any concerns that may arise by working together with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Be involved in multidisciplinary discussions as part of patient-centered/directed care planning by providing relevant information of residents' social background, preferences and habits.

Service Quality

• Help to develop and maintain important touchpoints for the resident journey from pre-admission to discharge.
• Assist in the measuring and monitoring of customer satisfaction via residents focus groups, periodic audits, residents satisfaction surveys, etc.
• Assist the manager in implementation of internal and external service recognition programs and events e.g. annual Service Excellence Award.
• Provide inputs during team meetings on service gaps based on the feedback received and propose service initiatives and training programmes for continuous improvements.

As a Care Concierge, you will be interacting with residents from all walks of life. Many of them have multiple medical conditions which may affect their behaviour and disposition. To succeed in this role, you must enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, be empathetic and be able to appreciate their point of view. This is not a desk-bound job and will require constantly being on the move. The joys of the job come in appreciation from residents and their next-of-kin as transitioning to a new living arrangement can be challenging. Qualifications

• Recognized diploma or degree,
• At least two years of work experience, preferably requiring interaction with a diversity of people
• Knowledge of geriatrics or experience caring for the elderly (eg; being a caregiver or volunteering) an added advantage
• Knowing multiple local spoken languages or dialects will be advantageous

11. Work with QSD Manager to continually fine-tune and streamline the maintenance system, policies and procedures
12. Produce and submit reports whenever necessary
13. Work in collaboration with QAQC team by carrying out audit inspections at on-going projects and meetings for knowledge and experience sharing aimed to enhance quality of work and reduce potential building defects
14. Provide directions / advice in construction as precursor to handing over of completed projects
15. Participate in any other ad-hoc corporate duties assigned

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering/Projects & Facilities Management or its equivalent. Diploma holders with relevant experience will also be considered.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in building construction works.

Proven customer service track record in HDB and/or private residential projects during Defect Liability Period (DLP)/handing over stage from Project Management Team.

Strong experience in architectural works.

Knowledge in MEP works will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

·        Maintain good relationship with residents and handle feedback tactfully

·        Attend to phone calls and emails to answer resident’s enquiries

·        Make appointment for resident to attend inspection with BSC (Building Service Center) team.

·        Prepare weekly, monthly reports, IDMS report to ensure day-to-day operations running efficiently and effectively.

·        Update defects cases for HDB's review and create new cases for new units and manage defects feedbacks from residents.

·        Communicate with residents through written notice regarding any construction activities.

·        Generate work schedule for Subcontractors to rectify defects as soon as possible

·        Arrange unit improvement works for residents.

Requirements

·        GCE "A" level or Diploma/ Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or equivalent.

·        At least 1 year of experience in a HDB BTO project.

·        Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin in order to liaise with Chinese-speaking residents and associates.

·        Attained CRO certificate
