While this role does not own SoC-level physical design, it plays a critical role in aligning subsystem implementation with overarching SoC strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead block- and subsystem-level physical design closure, including timing closure, congestion mitigation, power integrity, and overall physical implementation quality
• Collaborate closely with SoC-level physical design teams to align on clocking strategies, floorplanning intent, and integration requirements, without direct ownership of SoC-level execution

Job Description

As a Design Engineer, you will report to and assisting Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Understand the project requirements and specifications. This includes the architectural, structural, and MEP designs, as well as the client's requirements for the M&E ACMV systems, that may be used for various purposes of calculations, cost estimations, design for specific results, or objectives of the company.
2. Develop the M&E ACMV design in accordance with the project requirements. This includes the selection of equipment, materials, and components, as well as the development of the system layouts and drawings.
3. Calculate and coordinate the M&E ACMV design with the architectural and structural designs. This ensures that the M&E ACMV systems are compatible with the overall design of the building for the purpose of value engineering and also design and safety, while achieving technical and engineering compliance for our systems.
4. Prepare the M&E ACMV specifications. This includes the detailed descriptions of the M&E ACMV systems, as well as the performance requirements and testing procedures.
5. Guide Bim Modellers to create the BIM models of the M&E ACMV systems to meet design specifications, and the BIM models may be used for visualization, clash detection, and coordination purposes.
6. Review and approve the M&E ACMV shop drawings. This ensures that the M&E ACMV systems are constructed in accordance with the design.
7. Monitor the installation of the M&E ACMV systems. This ensures that the systems are installed correctly and that they meet the performance requirements.
8. Provide testing and commissioning compliance factors for the M&E ACMV systems. This includes testing and adjusting the systems to ensure that they are operating properly.
9. Continuous learning to further develop new methodologies, adoption of tools or techs for use in innovative solutions and any other scopes deemed necessary as part of job designation.

As a Physical Design Engineer, you will apply the latest design methodology and milestone flow to deliver state-of-the-art design over advanced technology node from RTL to GDSII. You should have very good experience in layout activities of block and level, including floor-

planning, partitioning, placement, clock tree synthesis, route and physical verification.

Responsibilities

1. Understanding of SoC for top-down/bottom-up physical design integration in advanced technologies.

2. Must have deep functional knowledge of P&R flows, should be able to catch up quickly on internal flows.

3. Must have knowledge of P&R, Extraction, Physical Verification, STA, ECO.

4. Build automation flows wherever needed/adapt to existing flows for re-use.

Key Qualifications

1. A Master’s Degree in EE, CS, Math, Physics or related subjects, PhD preferred.

2. A deep understanding of backend digital design flow.

3. Proficient in timing constraints, physical constraints.

4. Proficient in handling EDA tools across floorplan/partition/placement/CTS/route stages for SoC top-level.

5. Proficient with backend EDA tools Genus/Innovus/Quantus/Tempus, DC/Star-RCXT/PrimeTime, PrimeRail/Voltus, Redhawk

Job Summary

Design and verify RTL-level digital circuits, collaborate with backend teams on synthesis and timing, and perform functional and FPGA verification to ensure robust mixed-signal IC designs.

Responsibilities

• Design RTL-level digital circuits for synchronous and asynchronous applications involving multiple clock domains to meet functional requirements
• Perform digital functional verification and FPGA verification to validate design correctness and performance
• Collaborate with backend teams to execute digital synthesis, place-and-route, design for test, and static timing analysis for optimized chip implementation
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and verification issues to ensure reliable IC functionality
• Support function verification activities by developing and executing test plans and simulations

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in application and validation of digital designs
• Knowledge of Verilog coding, design, simulation, and verification methodologies
• Basic understanding of logic synthesis, place-and-route, static timing analysis, and logic equivalency checking

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience using Cadence tools such as Incisive Enterprise Simulator, SimVision, Genus, First Encounter, Conformal, Modus, Tempus, and Virtuoso
