Logistics Admin Officer (production planner)
The primary role of the production planner is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. Duties include a specific focus on the materials and goods required in the production phase, ensuring the working space is properly maintained in order to have optimal performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
- Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Monitor jobs to ensure the purchasing of raw materials needed to cover production demand on time and within budget
- Schedule shift according to production needs
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
- Keep paperwork well organized
- Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
- Ensure Purchase Request are placed timely and raised in procurement system.
- Any other tasks/duties as assigned by superiors
Vendor Management:
- Work with suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and agreements to secure favorable terms.
Procurement Planning:
- Collaborate with production planners to forecast material requirements and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
- Determine manpower, equipment and purchasing of raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
Order Processing:
- Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, considering production schedules and lead times.
- Track and monitor order status, addressing any delays or issues that may arise
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased materials meet the required standards.
- Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and negotiations.
- Work closely with Procurement team and ensure Purchase Request are placed timely and raised in procurement system
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
Other duties:
- Keep paperwork well organised
- Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff
- Any other tasks/duties as assigned by superiors
