We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to support finance operations across Fixed Assets Management, General Ledger, and Banking & Settlement functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who enjoys working with data, processes, and controls in a structured environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting process improvements across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fixed Assets Management
- Support transition of fixed assets management to an outsourced service provider.
- Conduct asset sighting exercises (before and after handover) for large asset volumes.
- Perform reconciliation of asset records and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on RFID tagging implementation.
- Develop user guides and conduct briefings to support transition processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
General Ledger
- Process monthly journal entries and ensure accurate General Ledger postings.
- Prepare and maintain audit schedules, including follow-ups on outstanding items.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct variance analysis for month-end reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements (e.g. Department of Statistics submissions).
- Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for GL processes.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to support audit activities.
Banking & Settlement
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and settlements across accounts.
- Maintain and enhance automated matching rules for bank transactions and receipts.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with excellent written English.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems is a must.
- Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
