POSITION SUMMARY:-
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to drive market expansion and manage technical relationships. The successful candidate will blend engineering expertise with commercial acumen to promote Himel industrial automation components, variable speed drives (VSDs), and electrical components to panel builders, system integrators, factory end-users, and OEMs across Malaysia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- Business Development: Identify and establish new client accounts (system integrators, M&E contractors and panel builders) to achieve company sales targets.
- Technical Consultation: Understand customer requirements, troubleshoot systems, and recommend optimal Himel Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and automation solutions.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct technical presentations, product testing, and live demos showcasing the reliability and cost-efficiency of our product lineup.
- Account Management: Maintain and nurture robust relationships with existing key clients, proactively offering upselling or cross-selling support.
- Proposal & Quotation Management: Prepare commercial quotations, formal sales proposals, and answer client requests for information (RFIs) efficiently.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor local industrial automation trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities to adjust sales approaches accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:-
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in indoor/outdoor technical sales, specifically within the electrical products, switchgear, or industrial automation sector.
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSD / Inverters), PLCs, low-voltage protection components, or industrial drivers is highly advantageous.
- Languages: Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin/Chinese dialects is an added advantage for local client management.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid Malaysian driving license and own transport, with a willingness to travel for client site visits.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation tactics, confident presentation skills, and a self-driven, result-oriented mindset.
