• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of containers and serverless architecture.
• Database Design: Experience designing relational or non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Aurora, DocumentDB, DynamoDB).
• Methodologies: Experience with agile approaches and experience in DevOps or DevSecOps.
• Infrastructure Automation: Proficiency with infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools.

Role Purpose

The Software Engineering Team Lead provides hands-on technical leadership and delivery ownership for a squad of junior engineers, aligned to Experian’s Product Development career framework. This role focuses on engineering execution, technical direction, and team enablement rather than people management or HR administration.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer Intern to work closely with our development team on building and maintaining Engineering 360 and related internal platforms. As part of this role, you will be exposed to both front-end and back-end development. Our tech stack includes React and JavaScript/TypeScript in Front-end, and Golang on the Backend. Apart from this, you will also be exposed to managing and building data streams and pipelines that power engineering metrics across Grab.

This is a fully onsite role, that will be based in our office at Petaling Jaya

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will work with the development team to build and maintain our internal engineering platforms.
• You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. We follow an agile methodology with a 2-week Sprint.
• You will write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• You will troubleshoot and debug web applications and data pipelines.
• You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.

• Requirements Analysis and Design - • Attend and contribute to discussions and backlog refinement. • Translates functional requirements into technical requirements. • Contribute ideas and estimates of tasks and risks in alignment with process and team standards. • Proactively contributes ideas for technical design.
• Development - • Implement correct, performant and reliable code on schedule • Investigate and fix defects. • Define and create automated tests at all levels. • Run the automated test suite, analyzing and triaging the test results. • Ensure that code created is of the required quality standards.
