Kertih Terminals Sdn. Bhd (KTSB) is a joint venture company between PETRONAS Chemicals Group Bhd (40%), Dialog Equity Sdn Bhd (30%) and Vopak Terminals Penjuru Pte Ltd (30%). KTSB is a service oriented logistics company in providing centralized tankage facilities for various petrochemical plants at PETRONAS Petroleum Industrial Complex in Kertih, Terengganu Darul Iman, Malaysia. KTSB was incorporated on 5th April 1997 and we have employed more than 160 employees to manage and operate our 42 storage tanks with the total capacity in excess of 400,000 cubic meters. With excellent prospects for long-term stability and growth, the company invites qualified individuals to apply for the following position based in Kerteh, Terengganu:-

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) EXECUTIVE 

Job Role Summary:-

Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and support of KTSB IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and compliance. Supports 24-hour terminal operations through hands-on IT services, infrastructure management, vendor coordination, and operational governance.

Expected Level of Proficiency:-

Minimum Qualification/Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Business Studies, Economics or a related field or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or equivalent.

 Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in ICT for degree holder or 10–12 years relevant IT experience for diploma holder, preferably in terminal, industrial, or oil & gas environments.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

•          IT operations, servers, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity controls

•          Incident, problem, change management (MOC)

•          Root Cause Analysis / Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCA / RCFA)

•          Internal & external audits including ISO certifications

•          IT procurement processes (PR, PO, invoice verification)

•          Vendor management and documentation control

•          HSE awareness in hazardous and 24-hour operational environments

Key Accountabilities:-

• Provide daily operational support and preventive maintenance for IT systems, networks, servers, and end-user devices.
• Act as primary IT support contact for employees, contractors, and operational teams Maintains company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
• Implement IT security controls, access management, and compliance with company IT policies.
• Manage internal and external IT audits, including ISO certification audits and corrective action tracking.
• Execute IT procurement administration including PR raising, PO coordination, invoice verification, and Finance liaison.
• Manage and participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes for IT systems and infrastructure.
• Conduct or support RCA/RCFA for IT incidents and system failures.
• Coordinate outsourced IT vendors and service providers.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, configuration baselines, and licensing records
• Support IT projects, upgrades, system migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during all IT activities

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science, a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a multi-disciplinary clinical laboratory, with proven expertise in Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Pathology, and other related disciplines.
• Willingness and ability to work on rotating shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests in strict accordance with established procedures and standards as outlined by the Laboratory Accreditation requirements.
• Analyze technical issues related to specimen adequacy, laboratory data, and instrumentation; identify root causes and resolve problems in compliance with relevant guidelines and procedures.
• Review and monitor laboratory processes to ensure high-quality results, and implement appropriate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as necessary.
• Ensure all laboratory instruments are maintained in optimal working condition by monitoring adherence to the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule.

Keperluan

• Ijazah Sarjana Muda Sains Bioperubatan, Diploma Teknologi Makmal Perubatan, atau kelayakan yang setaraf dalam bidang yang berkaitan.
• Minimum 2 tahun pengalaman profesional dalam makmal klinikal pelbagai disiplin, dengan kepakaran yang terbukti dalam Hematologi, Biokimia, Mikrobiologi, Patologi Kimia dan disiplin berkaitan yang lain.
• Bersedia dan berkebolehan untuk bekerja dalam syif bergilir, termasuk hujung minggu, cuti umum, dan tugas atas panggilan seperti yang diperlukan.

Tanggungjawab

• Melaksanakan ujian makmal mengikut prosedur dan piawaian yang ditetapkan seperti yang digariskan dalam keperluan Akreditasi Makmal.
• Menganalisis isu teknikal yang berkaitan dengan kecukupan spesimen, data makmal dan instrumentasi; mengenal pasti punca utama dan menyelesaikan masalah dengan mematuhi garis panduan dan prosedur yang berkaitan.
• Menyemak dan memantau proses makmal bagi memastikan keputusan yang berkualiti tinggi, dan melaksanakan Tindakan Pembetulan dan Pencegahan (CAPA) yang sesuai jika perlu.
• Memastikan semua instrumen makmal diselenggara dalam keadaan kerja yang optimum dengan memantau pematuhan kepada jadual Penyelenggaraan Pencegahan Terancang (PPM).
