The Opportunity

What You’ll Contribute

• Serve as a Practice Lead andsubject matter expert for a globally distributed team of optimizationconsultants and engineers. You will set the strategic direction of thepractice, cultivate client relationships at the highest levels, and ensureworld-class delivery across a complex portfolio of projects spanning multipleuse cases and geographies.
• Own regional leadership of thepractice – from pre-sales efforts, shaping proposals and statements of work;providing authoritative guidance on the adoption and strategic use of XpressOptimization software; to ensuring consistent delivery excellence across allengagements. You will be responsible for building and evolving reusable assetsand delivery methodologies that increase the value offered to Clients by FICOPlatform.
• Serve as a trusted advisor toclients, engaging with C-suite and senior business leaders to translate complexoptimization and analytics capabilities into measurable business outcomes, witha focus on improving Time-To-Value across all delivery engagements. You willalso manage and grow strategic partner and alliances relationships, workingwith system integrators and technology partners to extend the reach and impactof the practice.
• Recruit, develop, and retain topoptimization talent globally, creating a culture of technical excellence,continuous learning, and client focus. You will mentor senior consultants andteam leads, providing the coaching and sponsorship needed to grow self-sufficiencyin the next generation of practice leadership. Partner with global staffingteams to embed cross-regional collaboration as standard practice, ensuring thatresources, expertise, and delivery capacity are shared effectively across timezones.
• Provide oversight across aportfolio of large-scale, global projects — establishing governance frameworks,managing risk, resolving critical escalations, and ensuring that projectoutcomes align with both client expectations and FICO's commercial objectives.Contribute to pricing strategy, resource planning, and revenue forecasting, anddrive revenue growth through new business development and strategic accountexpansion.
• Grow the practice's salesenablement capability, developing case studies and reference customernarratives that strengthen the pipeline and support the broader salesorganization. Empower and coach regional team members to own the end-to-endpre-sales process, building their visibility and self-sufficiency.
• Lead and contribute to R&Defforts that advance FICO's optimization capabilities, authoring white papers,thought leadership publications, and presenting at conferences to reinforceFICO's position as a global leader in mathematical optimization and advancedanalytics.

What We’re Seeking

• Master's degree or PhD in operationsresearch, industrial engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, computerscience, or related technical discipline or equivalent professional experiencebeyond a BS degree.
• 10 or more years of experience inmathematical optimization and advanced analytics, with a proven track record ofleading global consulting or professional services practices.
• An established subject matter expertwith broad knowledge of optimization use cases, you are equally comfortablepresenting to a data science team and a boardroom. You have a demonstratedability to lead and influence in complex, matrixed global organizations,driving alignment across geographies, functions, and client stakeholderswithout relying solely on positional authority. You bring executive presence,strong consultative selling skills, and a track record of shaping and closinglarge, strategic engagements.
• Meaningful domain expertise infinancial services optimization, including Credit Limit Initiation, Management,and Authorization; Loan, Mortgage, and Deposit pricing; and Collections andRecoveries;
• Extensive experience with causalmodeling & implementation in optimization frameworks to isolate the trueimpact of interventions such as pricing changes, credit limit adjustments, orcollections treatments, enabling more defensible and robust optimizationstrategies.
• Familiarity with commercialMathematical Optimization Software: Xpress, Gurobi, and/or IBM CPLEX with someknowledge/experience in commercial model development platforms such as AIMMS,AMPL, GAMS, OPL, Xpress-Mosel, Concert, MPL.
• Experience with a programminglanguage such as Python/Java/C++ or a combination of programming languages.

What the day will look like

Client advisory and servicing

• Client relationship management
• Discover client’s needs in holistic manner 
• Set service scope and expectations
• Advise client on risk management and general insurance issues and offer potential solutions
• Advise on local statutory insurance requirements
• Design, strategize, place/renew and manage insurance program across various property and casualty lines
• Review insurance program performance, perform claims analysis and offer risk improvement recommendations where possible.
• Ensure policy administration matters are carried out accurately and timely, including invoicing and collection
• Review client’s contractual insurance requirements

• Multinational client servicing – collaborate with overseas Aon Offices to service local operations of multinational companies in other countries, such as:
• Design and optimize client’s global insurance program
• Setting service scope and fee according to AGCN guidelines and tools
• Communicate client’s global risk management philosophy to local client
• Ensure instructions are communicated to and implemented by local Aon offices
• Utilize IT platforms for global account management

Business Development & Growth

• Identify new market opportunities and drive growth for the construction insurance segment.
• Participate in new business pitches, RFP responses, and cross-selling efforts.

Delivering Aon United (DAU)

• Propose solutions across risk, insurance and other solution pillars that Aon offers
• Engage and work closely with various Aon business units, specialties and regional teams to deliver appropriate Aon United solutions for clients
• Execute and utilise client-related Aon value propositions, systems and processes.

Coaching fellow colleagues

• Provide guidance on technical and client servicing matters
• Support staff on organic growth and new business development

Beyond own team

• Be a subject matter expert on construction industry and solutions
• Develop/share solutions beyond own immediate team
• Participate in and contribute to winning new clientsWork on projects and cross-department collaborations

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• General Insurance academic qualifications, ACII or equivalent would be advantageous
• At least 12 years of experience in the insurance industry
• Meticulous, proactive and able to multi-task efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Role Purpose

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) APAC is accountable for defining and executing the APAC commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth, margin expansion, and customer leadership across a highly diverse region. The role leads the end-to-end commercial agenda spanning sales, marketing, pricing, customer strategy, and commercial excellence, ensuring strong alignment with Group and Segment strategies while addressing APAC-specific market dynamics. The CCO APAC builds high-performing commercial organizations and positions the company as the preferred specialty chemicals distribution partner across APAC.

Key Accountabilities

Lead the APAC Commercial Strategy

• Define and execute an APAC commercial strategy aligned with Group priorities and tailored to regional growth opportunities and market maturity.

• Translate global strategy into clear, actionable APAC roadmaps with measurable milestones and accountability.

• Balance short-term growth delivery with long-term capability building across emerging and mature markets.

Drive Financial Performance & Growth

• Own APAC gross profit growth, pricing discipline, and margin optimization.

• Drive portfolio mix optimization, cross-selling, and commercial productivity.

• Define, track, and act on commercial and financial KPIs to ensure sustainable performance.

Market, Segment & Principal Alignment

• Partner with Market Segment Directors to execute segment strategies consistently across APAC.

• Convert segment insights into country-level commercial actions while maintaining regional coherence.

• Build strong strategic relationships with key customers and principals.

Champion Commercial & Digital Excellence

• Lead deployment of commercial excellence frameworks in coordination with Group Commercial Excellence.

• Embed customer segmentation, sales effectiveness, pricing governance, and pipeline management.

• Drive adoption of digital tools (e.g. CRM, analytics platforms) to improve decision-making, conversion, and margin.

Build a High-Performance APAC Commercial Organization

• Develop and lead a diverse team of Managing Directors and commercial leaders across APAC.

• Build leadership bench strength and succession pipelines.

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience within specialty chemicals, ingredients, or value-added distribution.

• Strong exposure to APAC markets, including both growth and mature economies.

• Proven experience leading in matrixed, multinational organizations.
