• This role is responsible for providing direct leadership to a team of individual contributors engaged in designing and developing engineering solution. Responsibilities
• Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing engineering solutions and coordinating projects for mechanical hardware, system & imaging development for A4 LaserJet products.
• Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
• Expert in R&D Product Life Cycle development in Print and works with key stakeholders to secure commitments for the necessary resources to complete the planned activities in NPI programs and conduct the required reviews to ensure deliverables success.
• Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
• Manages relationships with outsourced partners, suppliers and Canon Japan as strategic partner, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.

The role will mainly assist our Clinical Trials Office to review and finalize contracts related to clinical trials for the Division of Clinical Trials & Epidemiological Sciences (CTE).

Main Duties:

• Assist to review clinical trial contracts and work closely with the SingHealth Legal Department to negotiate agreement terms with commercial sponsors, CROs, academic institutions or international trial groups.
• Assist in checking hard copy contract documents and obtaining signatures from the NCCS’s signatories.
• Keep track of agreement timelines and chase for replies if a party has not replied for the past two weeks.
• Supervise and provide advice to the executives of the Feasibility Team in NDA negotiation and to act as back-up for such review and negotiation during manpower shortage.
• Assist in approving online payments in APIMS, training applications in People’s Connexion and any other online applications assigned.
• Help to oversee financial and insurance reporting to CTCC as well as annual NMRC reporting.
• Assist in submission and updating of the clinicaltrials.gov, check and approve archiving costs and payment to archiving company and MRO.
• File and maintain executed contracts and ensure these are stored securely to maintain confidentiality and prevent loss or damage.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisors or the Clinical Trials Office higher management staff

Main Requirements:

• A recognised degree, with at least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in negotiating clinical trial contacts or research study contracts as well as experience in staff supervision.
• Preference for individuals with good knowledge of clinical trial conduct procedures.
• Well versed in relevant laws and regulations applicable to trial conduct including HBRA, Health Products and Medicines Act, Health Product (Clinical Trial) Regulation, PDPA and ICH GCP.
• Strong communication and writing skills, good command of language, good people skills and strong ability to be a good team player.

The Contracts & Compliance (C&C) Assistant Manager is responsible for Contracts Review, Negotiation, and Compliance matters in the Research Division at NCCS.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and Manage C&C unit

• Track and manage legal agreements, and maintain legal agreement database,
• Facilitate the negotiation and execution of legal agreements,
• Provide support to facilitate the training and guiding of staff on compliance (HBRA & PDPA),
• Act as check points for compliance (HBRA, PDPA) requirements by sighting compliance related approval documentation where necessary,
• Provide guidance to C&C unit junior staff,
• Improve contracts review workflow,
• Coordinate with CTE-CTO and LCDG (other contract teams in NCCS)
• Update and manage C&C policy.

2. Intellectual Property (IP) Management & Revenue

• Coordinate with SingHealth Intellectual Property (SHIP) unit for paperwork involving IP filing
• Track and monitor revenue from commercialised IP agreements.

3. Research Admin

• Broadcasting research related events to the research community on campus; provides administrative support for research events hosted by NCCS,
• Support HBRA and PDPA compliance matters (e.g. broadcast updates to NCCS stakeholders),
• Organise, coordinate and collate Research Metrics Info for submission to Office of Research, SingHealth (translational funding, IP and licensing indicatros)
• Support with KPIs collation for NMRC Centre Grant

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree with a keen interest in contracts review, compliance & governance, and research administration.
• Must possess a flair for writing and a good command of English to handle minutes and draft policy papers/ presentation slides
• Excellent oral and presentation skills for effective communication with PIs, clinicians & peers in other departments
• Must be IT savvy and able to navigate through standard software applications and databases
• Familiar with HBRA and PDPA regulations
• Experience in reviewing contracts will be highly advantageous
• Must be meticulous and have good organisational skills to create / maintain detailed records.

Our Opportunity:

The Sr. Manager, Franchise Strategy & Corporate Development, Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs, APAC is responsible for driving the financial performance and turnaround of existing master franchise partners across Asia-Pacific, while also supporting the sourcing, structuring, and execution of new franchise development and refranchising opportunities to accelerate growth in the region.

The role will manage one direct report based in Singapore and will have significant exposure to senior RBI leadership.

The role is expected to be approximately 60% profitability and turnaround of existing markets and 40% franchise development and investor sourcing. Demonstrated profitability and financial analysis capability is the entry credential; development capability is what will distinguish strong candidates.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.

Your roles and responsibilities:

Franchise Profitability (≈60%)

• Own the Franchise Profitability KPI for Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs in the APAC region and drive year-over-year improvement at restaurant and corporate level.
• Conduct in-depth profitability analyses, identifying root causes of underperformance and quantifying improvement opportunities.
• Collect, validate, and analyze franchisee financial information from country teams and partners across APAC, ensuring data quality and consistency with RBI’s reporting structure.
• Lead profitability turnaround initiatives with franchisee finance and operations teams, from diagnostic through implementation and tracking.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly profitability and funding reports, and board-ready presentations for RBI’s leadership and franchisee senior management.
• Develop and standardize profitability analytics, dashboards, and best practices across markets, and supply the development workstream with unit economics insights.

Franchise Development (≈40%)

• Source new external investors and operators to enter the Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs systems as long-term master franchise partners in APAC, including greenfield markets.
• Identify and lead re-franchising opportunities with existing portfolio partners, including portfolio rationalization, sub-franchising, and partner transitions.
• Build investment cases, market entry business plans, and unit economic models for new market entries and re-franchising transactions.
• Prepare and support investor pitches, and lead selected workstreams within deal processes from origination through term sheet, diligence, and documentation.
• Support Master franchising deals negotiations alongside senior leadership, internal and external legal counsel, and coordinate diligence across business, legal, tax, and accounting teams.
• Contribute to  Tim Hortons & Firehouse Subs APAC yearly strategic priorities, development pipeline planning, and G&A budget setting.

Your skills and experience:

• 5–10 years of professional experience with demonstrated capability across both financial analysis / profitability improvement and transaction or business development work.
• Strong profitability and finance foundation - prior experience in finance, corporate strategy, transaction services, investment banking, M&A execution, or top-tier management consultancy.
• Demonstrated deal or business development exposure - experience sourcing, structuring, or executing transactions, partnerships, or franchise/licensing agreements will be an asset.
• Prior working experience in the APAC region is required.
• At least Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering. MBA is an asset.
• Strong communication skills — ability to collaborate with all functions across all RBI brands; to build close relationships with investors/operators of any background; to engage with senior RBI leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Tableau or equivalent BI tools is required.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable with ambiguity and able to operate independently.
