We are growing our Electrical presence in our Building Engineering team, based in Perth. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineering with strong electrical design experience in a variety of buildings. 

How you’ll make a difference:

• Be influential in the preparation of technical electrical design documentation on building services projects across a variety of industries and market sectors, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective project delivery.
• Work closely with a team of experienced, multidisciplinary engineers on major projects, contributing to project planning, design delivery, and mentoring junior engineers within the business.
• Contribute to projects across the broader team by providing specialised technical advice, applying your knowledge and experience of Australian Standards and reviewing design calculations, specifications and drawings.
• Lead electrical components of major projects across sectors including health, aviation, defence, education, commercial and transport, delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across our expansive multi-disciplinary engineering team to provide high-level technical advice on community-defining projects, with exposure to client-facing roles supported by a Principal Engineer.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Closure Specialist Engineer to join our growing team in Perth. With opportunities to work on exciting projects locally and support national projects and operations, this is a fantastic role for a motivated engineer or scientist looking for their next career move.  

The role will include:

• Plan and manage the development of mine closure plans and closure designs, including driving closure design, closure cost estimating, and supporting strategic reviews.
• Collaborate with our national group of closure practitioners, including closure planners, engineers, and environmental scientists in delivering our business strategy for Closure and Remediation.
• Support and manage technical engineering design activities including landform design, slope stability analyses, tailings cover and capping design and surface water management design.
• Contribute to engineering studies throughout the project lifecycle, including management of conceptual designs, in both a project engineering and technical integration capacity.
• Develop mine closure plans and other regulatory documentation against industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards.
• Undertake site visits to client sites where required.
• Delivery and coordination of projects and proposals, including project management.
• Support and approve associated technical work directly related to the discipline and in project management capacities.
• Participate in client management and business development.

The Gig

As our newest Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will help to build, maintain & support the Healthengine website & microservices as part of the larger development team. You’ll have a well rounded team backing you, including product manager, designer and engineering manager, while a high level of autonomy will provide plenty of opportunity to expand your own skillset.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a product team to deliver high-quality and high-performing experiences to hundreds of thousands of users
• Collaborate with other developers and designers to come up with innovative and delight-filled solutions
• Implement ideas to help increase developer velocity and better user experiences
• Implements functionality across the entire technical stack adhering to standards established and agreed to by the front and back-end guilds
• Break down user stories into technical tasks, and plan areas of future technical work for the team
• Contribute to common code bases and standards for the team
• Play a valued role in the hiring process and mentor junior/mid-level engineers

Experience you’ll bring:

• Strong understanding of at least one JavaScript framework (React preferred)
• Strong understanding of PHP (or strong experience in a similar language)
• Strong understanding of Postgres (or other relational databases)
• Ideally experienced in AWS infrastructure 
• Ideally experienced in Agile development methodologies (Kanban/Scrum)
