Primary Purpose

Project Delivery

What you’ll do

As a Staff Engineer on the Risk Platform, you will be a senior technical leader and hands-on builder. You’ll own critical parts of our real-time detection platform and client-facing risk and fraud management products, setting the technical direction and raising the engineering bar while working closely with your manager and cross-functional partners.

You will:

• Lead the technical direction of core risk services, including real-time detection, decision engines, and risk tooling, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient under high throughput and low-latency constraints.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Web) to build and enhance robust web systems that support Weather Information Dissemination. This role involves working on complex enterprise systems, improving engineering practices such as CI/CD and SRE, and partnering closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-impact digital solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with software engineers and cross-functional teams to understand development delivery and system resiliency objectives.
• Assess existing technical landscapes, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, and improvement areas.
• Recommend suitable engineering practices such as CI/CD and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to improve system performance and delivery efficiency.
• Develop transition roadmaps from current-state systems to future-state solutions, including recommended tools, processes, and best practices.
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare supporting diagrams and documentation where required.
• Support proof-of-concept initiatives to validate solutions and assist during early implementation stages.
• Collaborate with fellow Software Engineers to share insights, tools, scripts, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across engineering teams.

Job Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in an individual contributor software engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js will be an advantage.
• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform will be an advantage.
• Strong track record in large-scale partner solution implementation, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical discussions between internal teams and external partners.
• Experience working in highly secured or air-gapped environments such as government, banking, or similar systems will be an advantage.

• Develop and deploy AI/ML software solutions for engineering applications.
• Build, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
• Develop software applications using Python.
• Integrate AI solutions into products and systems.
• Troubleshoot, test, and enhance software performance.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, AI, or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Good understanding of machine learning concepts and data processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Git is preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms, embedded systems, or Edge AI is an advantage.
