Role Purpose:

To act as the Company’s technical representative in managing the upkeep of properties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying defects, sourcing professional contractors, and supervising work to ensure it meets quality standards and stays within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Property Audits: Conduct regular walkthroughs of the properties to identify necessary repairs and preventative maintenance needs.
• Contractor Management: Identify, vet, and coordinate with external contractors (plumbers, electricians, roofers, and painters).
• Quotation Analysis: Obtain multiple quotes for repair works, negotiate pricing, and provide recommendations to the Company.
• Site Supervision: Oversee all on-site works to ensure contractors adhere to the agreed scope of work and do not damage the building’s original features.
• Quality Control: Final inspection of completed works before recommending payment/sign-off to the Company.
• Tenant Liaison: Coordinate repair schedules with tenants to minimize disruption while ensuring the Landlord’s assets are protected.

Requirements:

• Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of building structures, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, and roofing.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing vendors and multiple repair projects simultaneously.
• Communication: Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to provide clear, written reports/photo updates to the Company.
• Experience: 3–5 years in Property Management, Facilities Management, or a supervisory role in Construction.

Requirement

Job Purpose
The Assistant Engineer, Track Renewal is responsible to lead and manage a teamof technical Officers and contractors to carry out system-wide repair,maintenance and replacement of all track components such as rails, switches andcrossings so as to support SMRT in providing safe and reliable train service toour commuters.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of an Assistant Engineer,Track Renewal are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive andrelated duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

·        Organize and plan all rail changeactivities 

·        Comply and execute tasks in accordance to WorkInstructions and Procedures.

·        Comply and exercise safety at all times inaccordance to Safety Procedures.

·        Responsible for the safety of self, peers andthe track throughout the working period.

·        Carry-out the role of person-in-charge (PIC) andpreventive maintenance (PM) duties and responsibilities.

·        Complete the necessary paper work for alltasks 

·        Complete rail change or built up welding workswithin a given time frame.

·        Coordinate and supervise contractors in all railchange activities

·        Supervise a team of Technical Officers for allrail change activities.

·        Coordinate with other Departments involved inrail change activities

·        Plan and forecast on all materials, tools andequipment needed for continuous rail change operation.

·        Check and verify all leaves and claims submittedby your staff.

·        Perform Ultrasonic Tests, when necessary.

·        Assist in training new staff on rail changeoperation.
 

Qualifications & Work Experience

·        Diploma in Mechatronics / Mechanical / CivilEngineering.

·        Preferably with at least 3-4 years of experiencein field maintenance.

·        Able to communicate effectively and a good teamplayer.

·        Proficient in using tools and equipment.

Proposed Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities: Fleet Maintenance Coordination

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for all lorry maintenance issues, includingbreakdowns, routine servicing, and repairs.

2. Procure quotes and coordinate with external lorry workshops to arrange for allnecessary servicing, repairs, and inspections, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

3. Manage the schedule for all routine vehicle servicing and inspections, aiming tomaximize vehicle functionality, longevity, and minimize downtime

.4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vehicle service histories, repairs,and costs

.5. Liaise with drivers and management regarding vehicle status, estimated repairtimes, and availability.

6. Arrange for replacement vehicles or temporary solutions to maintain distribution schedules during lorry downtime .

Secondary Responsibilities: Weighbridge & Warehouse Operations

7. Operate the weighbridge to accurately record the in-and-out tonnage of thecompany's fleet and incoming supplier goods.

8. Ensure the security and accuracy of weighbridge data by meticulously keying allinformation into the digital system and verifying documentation.

9. Perform daily picking and preparation of small, loose-item orders (typically 60-100 items) for online market distributors.

10.Maintain a clean and organized picking area to ensure efficiency and accuracy inorder fulfillment.General Responsibilities11.Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc duties as tasked by superiors to support theoverall operations of the distribution hub.
