Job Summary:
The Accountant (Singapore) is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting for the company’s Singapore entity. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the full set of accounts for the Singapore operations. This includes managing the general ledger by recording all journal entries and transactions (revenues, expenses, accruals, provisions) accurately and on a timely basis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and management reports in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and corporate accounting policies. Ensure that financial reports are delivered on time and reflect true and fair views of the company’s performance.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions: verify and post vendor invoices, process payment runs, issue customer invoices, and monitor collections. Ensure AP/AR ledgers are reconciled, and overdue receivables are followed up promptly.
• Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules (e.g. for inventory, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals). Qualifications:

In the organizational structure, this role is directly supervised by the Head of Finance and may also provide guidance to junior finance staff (such as the Account Executive). The Accountant serves as a key support to the Head of Finance in all finance-related matters for Singapore.

Responsibilities/Functions:

Handle day to day accounting functions and month end closing.

Handle full set of accounts and prepare tax returns.

Perform administrative support duties (Printing documents, reply emails, online submissions, etc.)

Responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions, including prepare salary, CPF, AIS submitting, apply/renew work permit, worker dormitory, PCP.

Monitor spending and budgets.

Ensure the smooth execution of all Accounts Receivable/Payable activities.

Ensure all customers' account are up to date (Collection of outstanding payments).

Prepare documents (DO, PO, quotation, Invoice, Credit note, GST submission, etc.)

Ensure information/documents are accurate, updated and filed in a timely and orderly manner.

Check bank reconciliation monthly.

Strong analytical skills in project costing, monitoring project status, prepare project claim.

Dealing with contractors, suppliers, workers etc.

Some ad-hoc job upon request.

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.

At least 1 year of relevant experience in Finance.

Those with bookkeeping experience is preferred.

Able to work independently and meet financial reporting datelines.

Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel, Word, Power Point etc.)

Good proficiency in English & Chinese would be an asset.

Meticulous, analytical and have an eye for details.

Able to work under pressure and in fast pace working environment.

Good organizing and planning skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

Good working attitude and good team player.

Able to work within tight timelines.

Able to operate competently common office equipment (computer, printer, tablet, smartphone and telephone system etc.)

• Participate in system User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including validating charging computations and resolving discrepancies.
• Collect, consolidate, and analyse financial and operational data to support service costing and pricing exercises.
• Evaluate the financial feasibility of capital expenditure proposals and projects.
• Perform financial analysis on revenue and cost centres, providing insights, verification, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to revenue and subvention reporting.
• Conduct workload trend analysis and case mix analysis to support business and operational planning.
• Maintain and update financial system setups to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Review and approve capital expenditure requisitions in accordance with internal policies.
• Handle financial and operational queries from internal departments and external stakeholders, including NHG and MOH.
• Support ad-hoc finance projects and other duties assigned by management.
