This is a “build-from-zero” leadership role. We have an exciting opportunity on our APAC Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) team for a Compliance Director, APAC South, located in Singapore. In this role, you will provide direct oversight for complex elements of Abbott's compliance program in the APAC South region (Singapore/Malaysia/Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand) across all of our business units. You will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of the OEC’s compliance program, including training, risk management, and monitoring. What You’ll Do

The Compliance Director performs the following with moderate supervision from OEC leadership (e.g. Ethics and Compliance Officer).

• Provide leadership, guidance and support to all levels of key divisional business functions on complex ethics and compliance issues, including policy interpretation and requirement, compliance risk assessment, trend analysis and best practice recommendations.

• Resolves complex ethics and compliance matters that have significant impact to Abbott.

• Directs and conducts periodic reviews and updates related to complex OEC policy and divisional/affiliate procedures ensuring clarity, applicability and compliance to OEC policy and external requirements, with minimal supervision from the ECO.

• Develops, updates, implements, and delivers OEC’s comprehensive training program on complex OEC and divisional/affiliate policies and procedures.

• Provides oversight to corporate and/or divisional monitoring process to ensure compliance with OEC/affiliate policies and procedures.  Reviews industry trends and internal results, and recommends corrective actions.

• Partners with the ECO and business on compliance audits, oversees the fulfillment of auditor requests, acts as liaison between business and auditors during on site activities, evaluates and assists the businesses with responses to all complex preliminary findings and recommendations, guides the business in preparing corrective action to address complex and highly complex findings and recommendations.

• Oversees all Affiliate Compliance Committees at the affiliate level and provides input on violation process.  Reviews internal trends and implements corrective actions.

• Provides leadership and guidance on proposed commercial programs, identifies complex legal and regulatory issues, analyzes alternatives and works with legal, as appropriate, to propose solutions to the business.

• Possesses in-depth knowledge of Abbott businesses and knowledge of the broader business impact.

• Leads cross-functional teams on complex issues or projects.

• Has direct reports with people management responsibility located in APAC South.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required.

• Advanced degree such as MBA, Masters, JD, or equivalent work experience, strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and finance.

• Experience working in medical device or life sciences industry, preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations.

The Director, QRM, Global QMS, R&D & PV QA is accountable for establishing, governing, and continuous advancing a robust, science- and risk-based Quality Risk Management framework across R&D & Clinical Safety Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs and associated quality system.

This role serves as the global QA authority for quality risk management, providing independent oversight, governance, and strategic leadership to ensure that quality risk are proactively identified, assessed, controlled, communicated, and reviewed in alignment with ICH Q9 (R1), ICH Q10, company quality standards, and global regulatory expectations. JOB DESCRIPTION

1.    Global Quality Risk Management Framework

a.   Lead the design, implementation, governance and continuous evolution of the global Quality Risk Management (QRM) framework across R&D, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, and associated quality systems, in alignment with ICH Q9 (R1), ICH Q10, and applicable global GxP regulations.

b.    Establish and maintain standardized risk assessment methodologies, tools, templates, and governance models within the QMS.

c.     Define, govern and maintain risk assessment principles, risk acceptance criteria, and quality risk posture for R&D & PV and MA, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management and global quality strategy.

d.    Own the multi-year QRM roadmap, including capability maturity, systems enablement, and integration with broader QMS and business processes.

2.    Risk Identification, Assessment & Independent QA Oversight

a.    Provide independent QA oversight and expert leadership for quality risk identification, assessments, control, communication, and review activities across the end-to-end product and system lifecycle.

b.    Oversee and challenge quality risk assessment related to, but not limited to :

         i.     RDPVMA processes and systems 

         ii.   Vendor, outsourcing and third-party activities

         iii.   Change management and transformation initiatives

         iv.   Inspection readiness, compliance, and systematic quality risks

c.     Ensure quality risks are scientifically justified, proportionate, traceable and inspection-ready, with clear linkage to QMS records, mitigation actions, and management decisions.

3.    Governance, Integration & Management Review

a.    Establish and lead quality risk governance structures, including escalation pathways and decision forum for critical, cross-functional or systemic risks.

b.    Embed quality risk management outputs into key QMS processes, including Quality Event (QE) Management, CAPA, change control, supplier oversight, audit management and Quality Management Review.

c.     Lead and shape risk-based inputs to management reviews and executive quality governance, providing clear visibility of risk trends, emerging issues, and mitigation effectiveness.

d.    Ensure alignment and traceability between functional risk registers, QMS risk records, and enterprise-level risk reporting.

4.    Digital Enablement, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

a.    Own and evolve digital QRM tools, dashboards, and analytics to support proactive, data-driven risk identification, trending, escalation, and decision-making.

b.    Define and monitor QRM performance indicators and effectiveness metrics, ensuring meaningful insights for senior management and continuous inspection readiness.

c.     Drive continuous improvement of quality risk management practices based on audit outcomes, inspection findings, key trends, and performance data.  

5.    Regulatory Intelligence, Audit & Inspection Readiness

a.    Monitor, interpret, and translate evolving global regulatory expectations and inspection trends (e.g. ICH Q9 (R1), regulatory and inspection focus area) into QRM strategy, standards and training.

b.    Provide leadership and oversight for risk-based audit preparation, inspection readiness, and regulatory interactions related to quality risk management.

c.     Support and guide organizational responses to inspection observations, audit findings, and regulatory commitment where quality risk management is impacted.

6.     Cross‑Functional & Third-Party Risk Oversight

a.    Partner closely with global stakeholders across R&D, Clinical Safety Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, IT, Procurement, and vendor Quality to ensure effective, consistent, and compliance implementation of quality risk management.

b.    Provide governance and QA oversight of third party and vendor risk management programs, ensuring alignment between internal quality expectation and external partner practices.

c.     Influence cross-functional and matrix teams to embed risk-based thinking into strategic and operational decision-making.

7.    Training & Capability Building & Quality Culture

a.    Act as global quality risk management thought leader and champion, strengthening organizational capability through targeted training, coaching, and mentoring.

b.    Develop and deliver QRM training curricula to ensure consistent understanding and practical application of risk management principle across regional and functions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.

- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MSc, MPH, MBA) or equivalent professional experience in a regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment is preferred.

- 8–12+ years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical quality, compliance, quality risk management, or regulated GxP environments, with demonstrated experience operating at a global and cross-functional level.

- Proven track record in establishing, governing and sustaining quality risk management framework within a global Quality Management System, including practical application of ICH Q9 (R1) and integration with ICH Q10.

The Director, Quality Assurance is primarily responsible for developing and implementing strategies for quality oversight across all Affiliate sites within Alcon's Quality & Regulatory Affairs. Role Purpose:

Job Responsibilities

(A) Head Office Compliance & Japanese Regulation Advisory

• Provide guidance and direction in accordance with Japanese laws/regulations and HO policies/rules.
• Advise APAC offices on implementation issues and required controls relating to updates in HO policies, particularly Corporate Compliance.
• Coordinate approvals and discussions with HO for policy changes, new initiatives, and implementation matters.
• Provide advisory and review for front-office initiatives, new products/services, and new businesses from the perspective of Japanese regulations.

(B) Regional Oversight

• Enhance governance and compliance oversight for APAC offices including bank branches and group companies such as securities, bank, and consumer finance.
• Provide advisory support to strengthen compliance frameworks the bank branches and the group companies .
• Ensure to support day-to-day communication between the Head of MFC team, the Head of   Securities team as well as the Head of Branch Oversight team and the General Manager as well as Head Office, making certain that any concerns are promptly escalated to management and resolved.
• Oversee compliance reporting, documentation management, and implementation of group-wide policies.
• Drive initiatives to enhance compliance frameworks across the region, collaborating with the Heads of oversight of group companies such as securities and consumer finance.

(C) Liaison with HO

• Function as the key liaison between APAC offices and HO on compliance, regulatory matters, and policy implementation.
• Coordinate with HO on budget, expense management, and headcount/resource.

• Manage reports to HO and periodic updates.

(D) Other Assigned Duties

• Manage additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Department Head.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.), or equivalent.
• More than 10 years' experience in planning activities in Compliance or AML in FI (in a Japanese bank would be desirable).
• Experience in policy development, training delivery, and compliance oversight of group companies. Experience in cross-border compliance coordination is preferrable.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory governance, Japanese regulations, and retail compliance.
• Knowledge of Japanese laws and regulations especially related to banking industry.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and to work under tight timelines.
• Strong management skills based on a solid understanding of first-line business processes and risk drivers.
• Excellent communication skills in a global environment and stakeholder management skills , native proficiency in Japanese is essential as the role will need to communicate frequently with stakeholders in Head Office, or Japanese regulators when necessary.

The Compliance Director, Singapore is the senior compliance leader accountable for maintaining a MAS-regulated compliance framework for Zodia Singapore, including the governance, strategy, and control environment required under the Payment Services Act and applicable MAS Notices, Guidelines, and supervisory expectations. This role has ultimate ownership of licence maintenance obligations, regulatory engagement, and the effectiveness of the financial crime and broader compliance programme - ensuring the business operates safely, compliantly, and sustainably as it scales.   

• Lead the development and maintenance of Singapore’s compliance governance, strategy, policies, and control environment, aligned with Zodia Group standards and MAS requirements. 

• Ultimate responsibility for owning and driving Zodia Singapore’s crypto custody licensing process with the MAS, in collaboration with Global Compliance and business teams, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.  

• Serve as the primary liaison with MAS and other relevant APAC regulators; manage regulatory communications, submissions, and meetings with clear internal coordination and documented outcomes. 

• Serve as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) in accordance with Singapore regulations.

• Assess and approve new products, services, token support decisions, and business initiatives for Singapore from a regulatory and financial crime risk perspective. 

• At least 10 years of senior compliance experience (in the 2nd line of defence) within a licensed financial services firm in Singapore, or in a consulting role supporting the compliance function.  

• Experience of liaising with the MAS and expert knowledge of Singapore regulatory landscape, including MAS obligations, requirements and expectations.  

• Proven experience in financial crime roles in the 2nd line of defence, including experience conducting KYC, investigations, and control framework development.

Role Summary

The Roving Officer observes CFF classes and assesses Main Trainers (MTs) and Assistant Trainers (ATs) using the Trainers’ Observation Checklist (TOC). The role provides basic feedback, submits reports for trainers who need further technical and pedagogical support, and aligns with the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead on follow-up actions.

Key Duties

· Observe MTs and ATs during lessons and complete the online google TOC.

· Submit the completed TOC to QA Lead via WhatsApp/email after the session(s) to be forwarded to the assessed MT/AT.

· Write and submit a short observation report for trainers rated “Needed Support” or “Not Yet Competent.”

Requirements

· Ex/current MOE School Leader / HOD / Subject Head / Level Head / Master / Lead / Senior Teacher, or Tertiary Institution Lecturer (or equivalent instructional leadership role).

· Proven experience in conducting lesson observations, coaching, and/or mentoring teachers/trainers (e.g., providing structured feedback for improvement).
