Job Description

- Install, test, implement and configure systems (include Operating Systems and Application Software) in accordance with specifications and service level requirements, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

- Perform basic administration and check to ensure system is running as expected in terms of performance and security

- Manage systems changes using an established change request process, including assessing the impact, obtaining necessary approvals, and communicating status updates to multiple stakeholders.

- Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and proactively implement measures to prevent recurrence. Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures and make adjustments as necessary.

- Provide expert technical advice and guidance on systems to customers, project teams, and Level 1 Engineers, assisting them in making informed decisions and resolving complex technical issues, including troubleshooting/integration with/at Front-End Devices.

- Experience in Backend system hardening, security acceptance and vulnerability testing will be preferred.

- Engage with external partners and users

- Gather business and/or application requirements so as to plan, design, install, test and implement systems that meet commitments with our customers

- Monitor and measure the performance and availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance and service level availability

- Respond promptly to incident, perform root cause analysis and provide temporary or permanent resolution of incidents. Provide timely incident status updates to relevant parties

- Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operations

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implementation

- Willing to do 24 X 7 standby duties

Qualifications

- Preferably Diploma/Degree with IT or Engineering background.

- Experience in implementing Engineering/Infrastructure Project.

- Experience in administrating, performance tuning, system monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Strong knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).

- Structured and organized.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely

- Possess strong sense of ownership and tenacity.

- Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high-quality standards.

- Stationed at Client’s facilities or at site as required.

Partner with software engineers and other functions to understand objectives for development delivery efficiency and system resiliency, helping them articulate how specific technical capabilities and best practices will achieve key business outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of Agency's existing technical landscapes, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, and gaps that hinder their goals.

• Collaborate with Agency to identify the most relevant practices (e.g., CI/CD, SRE) for using Core Engineering Products in achieving their goals, considering unique needs and industry best practices.

• Develop transition roadmaps that outline a clear path from the current state to the desired future state, including the adoption of recommended tools and processes.

• Explain complex concepts clearly to various Agency stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations for improving workflows and addressing their challenges, and providing supporting diagrams as needed.

• Support Agency with proof of concept (POC) initiatives to validate solutions, offering hands-on assistance during early implementation phases to enable smooth transitions to full-scale rollouts.

• Collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers to exchange insights, share tools and scripts, and foster a collaborative environment that supports continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

What we are looking for:

• 6+ years in an individual contributor software engineering role.

• Experience with NodeJs with TypeScript.

• Experience with one or more of Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience building cron jobs and scripts to run batch jobs.

• Experience with streaming data.

• Strong track record of successful large-scale partner solution implementations, preferably in complex enterprise environments

• Exceptional communication skills with ability to bridge technical discussions between internal teams and external partners

• Experience working in highly secured and air gap systems is a plus (i.e. banking, government systems and similar)

• Collaborate effectively with the infrastructure engineering teams and the business

• Administration and management of IT Infrastructure and data centre support, which include basic systems,

network, database and application support.

• Respond to the incoming alerts (system triggered, e-mail etc.)

• Monitor infrastructure and applications using monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Grafana)

• Assess incoming alerts to understand their severity, and impact before escalating

• Log, update and manage incidents, requests and changes in ITSM tools (ServiceNow)

• Perform basic health checks, service restarts and routine operational task

• Follow documented support procedures for incident management, which include identifying and determining

the root cause and resolving the incident or escalate to the appropriate resolver group according to SLA

(Service level Agreement).

• Maintenance of technical documentation (for NOC) of processes and procedures used throughout normal

operations.

Requirements:
