JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is looking for an experienced individual with a background in SWIFT-related business domains (standards, payments and securities) and a strong technical knowledge in trading system to join the Reserves and Securities Management Team.  

You will be responsible to provide in-depth expertise in SWIFT-related business/technical flows and provide oversight of SWIFT technical design and oversee the review of the SWIFT infrastructure architecture blue-prints with collaboration from internal cross-functional IT and operations teams to ensure the architectural designs meet all the requirements.

You will be the Point-of-Contact (POC) for the third party’s SWIFT technical team to review and provide guidance on the SWIFT infrastructure implementation planning and co-ordinate with internal teams to ensure resource availability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services, in particular in a technical business lead role

• Extensive experience with banking operations, back-office business operations or back-office system integration knowledge

• Support students during e-learning, assignment, and project sessions either through online and /or face to face
  
• Review and grade all submitted assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full or partial sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) functions.
• Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payments, and receipts accurately and on a timely basis.
• Prepare payment vouchers, cheques, GIRO applications, and online banking transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Maintain proper accounting records, supporting documents, and filing systems.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and liaise with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments on finance-related matters.
• Assist in project costing, monitoring of project expenses, and reconciliation of project-related accounts.
• Support GST reporting, audit schedules, and tax-related submissions.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, accounting procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• ACCPAC Window knowledge will be an advantage
• Able to start work immediately
