Role Overview:
We are seeking a General Practitioner (GP) with experience or interest in Orthopaedics to assess and manage sports-related injuries and joint conditions, including minor surgical procedures, in our private day clinic. This is a clinic-based outpatient role involving assessment, diagnosis, and conservative management of sports injury–related and joint-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive OPD consultations, including physical examinations and medical history evaluation, to diagnose sports injury–related and orthopaedic conditions.
· Assess and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs) for outpatient diagnosis and treatment planning
· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for sports injuries and joint-related conditions.
· Manage sports-related injuries and joint conditions through conservative treatment and perform minor surgical procedures within OPD scope
· Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, recovery, and preventive care
· Maintain accurate and updated medical and electronic medical records (EMR)
· Coordinate referrals with physiotherapists, diagnostic centers, and other healthcare professionals
· Participate in clinical discussions and continuous medical education activities
· Adhere to clinic protocols, medical ethics, and applicable legal regulations
· Contribute to a professional, patient-friendly clinic environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
· MBBS / MD / MBBCh or equivalent
· Eligible for registration with the Brunei Medical Board (BMB)
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in primary care, family medicine, or sports injury/ orthopaedic OPD
· Good clinical judgement and patient communication skills
Added Advantage (Not Mandatory):
· Experience in sports injury medicine or minor procedure management.
· GP / Family Medicine qualification or FRCS (or equivalent)
