Job Role
As a Senior QAQC Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory guidelines. You will lead quality assurance initiatives and collaborate with various teams to uphold a commitment to excellence in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System
Implement and maintain the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Project Quality Planning
Prepare and oversee Project Quality Plans (PQP) for all construction projects, ensuring thorough quality control measures are outlined and implemented.
Inspections and Audit
Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, processes, and deliverables to identify defects, non-conformances, and areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with quality standards and project schedules.
Regulatory Compliance
Analyze and assess suppliers and subcontractors for certification compliance with relevant build and construction authorities, ensuring quality requirements are met.
Continuous Improvement
Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Data Analysis
Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics to identify trends, assess performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Documentation Management
Maintain comprehensive records of all quality assurance activities, including audits, inspection reports, and quality control plans, in accordance with ISO standards, while ensuring accessibility for review and compliance purposes.
Environment, Health and Safety Compliance
Ensure that all projects adhere to workplace health and safety policies, conducting assessments and audits as necessary to mitigate risks.
Ad-hoc Duties
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall project objectives.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Requires 5-7 years of relevant experience in the building and construction industry, preferably with main contractor experience on large-scale projects.
- Resident Technical Officers (RTO) certification
- Quality Mark / CONQUAS certification
- ISO9001 Auditor certification & proficient understanding of quality assurance methodologies, inspection techniques, and quality control processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high levels of productivity and focus.
- Strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent planning and coordination abilities.
